Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd in more than 193 countries all around the world. It is a great day to do some good and help the environment where you live and work.

Originating in 1970 in Wisconsin, Earth Day began as a social and political day for citizens to take to the streets and protest the harm that was being done to the environment with loss of wilderness, extinction of species, construction of roads, and toxic substances polluting our water and air.

Today, Earth Day has grown into a worldwide celebration and day of action. It’s a time when people come together to do their part to make the earth a better place to live.

This past Earth Day, 25 Moffatt team members spent the day planting spruce trees around the perimeter of our facility. The beautiful tree specimens were purchased from a terrific local business, Vietrees Farm on Twiss Road Campbellville, and the planting of the trees was generously supported by the tree planting expert John Pop.
